As part of our ongoing commitment to our clients, staff, the residents that we service, the environment and our partner organisations, Healthcare Plus Recruitment actively promote our Corporate and Social Responsibilities.
There are 6 main principles which Healthcare Plus Recruitment incorporate into our business, which we are heavily committed to and these are:
1. Our Staff
By offering a wide choice of work in differing settings and locations across North Ayrshire and surrounding areas, to help develop our carers' skill-set, knowledge and experience, ensuring that we are equipped to assist a range of diverse clients. We treat all our employees fairly and ethically, ensuring that they abide by the SSSC Code of Conduct Regulations and monitor our employees' performance to ensure that the highest quality of care is maintained or exceeded each and every time for our clients and their residents
2. Our Environmental Efforts
By monitoring closely our carbon footprint in all areas of our work, to include such things as using public transport, bicycles or car-sharing with other colleagues within the business to ensure that we reach our clients in a timely, safe manner at all times
3. Our Local Area
Healthcare Plus Recruitment support local charities and community programmes whenever we can to assist with fundraising efforts and to help raise awareness for organisations within our region
4. Volunteering
Healthcare Plus Recruitment assist our clients in volunteering opportunities, such as supporting with garden fetes/garden parties in the summer, and our time whenever there are odd jobs around residents' homes that we could assist with such as painting fences or client rooms in a care or nursing home
5. Social and Emotional Well-Being
This plays a huge part in the care services that Healthcare Plus Recruitment offer and working in agreement with our home managers, this is an essential part of our service to the elderly and those with learning disabilities across our region. Reading a newspaper article to a resident who has a degenerative eye condition, chatting or reminiscing with a client who may have Dementia can be a wonderful time for that resident and can mean so much to them
6. Inter-generational Working
Healthcare Plus Recruitment is committed to working with the local councils and external organisations within our region to help promote Inter-generational working within our local communities, particularly between younger and older people. One example of this is for Healthcare Plus to help recruit volunteers to offer a "befriending" service from younger people to older people within care or nursing homes
